What house cleaning covers
A standard house cleaning visit works through the home in a fixed order. Kitchens and bathrooms take the longest because they hold the most build up, so those rooms are cleaned first while the cleaner is fresh. Bedrooms, living areas and hallways follow. Floors are always last, which is why we vacuum and mop on the way out rather than on the way in.
The checklist is the same on every visit. That matters more than it sounds. Cleaning that varies by whoever turned up that day is the most common complaint homeowners have about services they leave, because you cannot tell what you are paying for from one week to the next. A written list means the shower door gets scrubbed on the visit when it looks fine as well as the visit when it does not.
Georgia homes bring their own conditions to a standard clean. Pollen coats sills and entry floors from late February through May. Red clay from yards and construction sites tracks onto tile and settles into grout lines and it does not lift with a dry vacuum. Summer humidity leaves a film on bathroom walls and ceilings that a quick wipe will not remove. We plan for those three things in every home we work in, because they show up in almost all of them.
A house cleaning visit is maintenance, not restoration. It holds a home at a steady level once that level has been reached. If a property has not been cleaned properly in a long time or if grout, vents and appliance interiors have been left, the first visit should be a deep cleaning and the standard visits start after that.

- Toilets cleaned inside, outside, around the base and behind the seat hinges
- Showers, tubs and glass doors scrubbed and rinsed
- Mirrors and interior glass cleaned streak free
- All hard floors vacuumed then mopped
- Carpets and rugs vacuumed, including under moveable furniture
- Beds made or linens changed when you leave them out
- Flat surfaces dusted, including shelves, sills, ledges and picture frames
- Light switches, door handles and cabinet fronts spot cleaned
- Trash emptied and liners replaced

How the visit works
Walk through
We look at every room before touching anything, note the surfaces that need specific handling and confirm anything you want left alone.
Kitchens and bathrooms
The wet rooms are cleaned first. Product goes onto hard surfaces and is left to work while the cleaner moves to dusting, so nothing gets wiped off before it has done its job.
Living areas and bedrooms
Dusting runs high to low so anything that falls is picked up by the vacuum later. Beds are made, surfaces are cleared and wiped and trash is collected.
Floors and final check
Vacuuming and mopping run last, working back toward the door. We check each room again before leaving.
